Vívaro Media’s flow Platform Powers Global Broadcast Distribution of The World Games 2025

Global First for flow – The World Games Chengdu 2025 became the first international multi-sport event to deploy Vívaro Media’s flow platform for global distribution, delivering HD and 4K/UHD signals securely over fiber and public internet.

Redundant, Resilient Fiber Network Backbone – Vívaro connected the International Broadcast Center to Points of Presence in Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, and London, with on-site engineering to manage, monitor, and support alongside its its 24/7 NMC team from its Montreal NOC.

Expanded Fan Access – Supported ISB’s launch of The World Games Live OTT service, streaming live action and replays free worldwide, setting a new standard for accessibility.

Chengdu, China – August 25, 2025 – Vívaro Media, building on 25 years of leadership in content transportation, successfully delivered seamless contribution and global distribution for The World Games Chengdu 2025. This effort was carried out in partnership with International Sports Broadcasting (ISB), the host broadcaster. The Games marked the first international multi-sport event to globally deploy flow, Vívaro’s proprietary distribution platform.

Vívaro deployed redundant fiber routes from the Games’ International Broadcast Center (IBC) into its secure international fiber network, anchored by Points of Presence (PoPs) in key global locations including Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, and London. These PoPs served as delivery gateways for the Games’ worldwide distribution, implemented and monitored by Vívaro’s on-site engineering team. Engineering staff remained present throughout the event to manage and ensure uninterrupted service, working in tandem with Vívaro’s 24/7 multilingual support team at its Network Management Center in Montreal, which oversees more than 1,600 hours of live sports transmissions each month across 20+ countries.

At the heart of the broadcast distribution was flow, Vívaro Media’s platform purpose-built for live sports content customization and transport. flow embodies Vívaro’s legacy of powering landmark events and its commitment to solving complex media workflow challenges. ISB selected flow to give rights holders complete flexibility to select and receive exactly the HD and 4K/UHD channels they required, delivered securely over fiber and/or the public internet. With primary and backup routes in place, flow provided guaranteed resilience and scalability while eliminating the common delays of traditional booking processes.

Vívaro’s robust distribution backbone also supported ISB’s innovative production and digital initiatives, including the launch of The World Games Live OTT service — developed in partnership with JW Player and WTV. This first-ever OTT platform for The World Games streamed live action, highlights, and replays free of charge, significantly expanding accessibility for fans worldwide.
